What does this clinic offer?
Our weight management clinic is where we will provide you with a personalised, evidence-based weight management programme to support your health goals.
Dr. Feeney and Dr. Fitzpatrick will focus on your overall health, confidence and well-being, working with you to help lose weight safely and under the care of medical supervision. You can also avail of a referral option with Niamh Byrne RD – NB Nutrition (Trusted Dietician)
Schedule of Clinic
Visit 1Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Physical examination to take bloods, weight & height (15 min appointment )
Visit 2
(2 weeks after initial visit) Review of information of visit 1, assessment of symptoms, concerns and expectations of this clinic. Medical assessment to include blood pressure check & BMI. Education on weight management and safe practice of prescribing medication. (30 min appointment)
Visit 3
(approx. 3 months after 2nd visit) Review of progress of the weight management plan and medication prescribed (15min appointment)
 Visit 4
Annual review – review of progress of the weight management plan and medication prescribed (15 min Appointment)
What does the Clinic Cost?
Visit 1 & 2 – Private – €120/ GMS – €50
Visit 3 – Private – €75/ GMS – €30
Annual review – Private – €75/ GMS – €30
Potential Extra Charges
Extra cost may be incurred if further investigations are deemed necessary
We do not provide general GP Care to patients attending the Weight Matters Clinic, it is a separate clinic
E-mail queries or phone consultations outside of the 3 visits – Private – €60/ GMS – €20
Repeat prescriptions without consultation – Private – €30/ GMS – €10
Extra visits outside of the 3 visits – Private – €75/ GMS – €30- €75
