Cancellation or Missed Appointment Policy

Grantstown medical is committed to ensuring the best possible service to our patients. We understand it maybe sometimes difficult to get an appointment, however missed appointments can make this extremely difficult. Patients non -attendance at a booked appointment adversely impacts on patients who could have taken that appointment and increasing waiting times.

DNA Occurs When,

• An appointment is not attended
• The patient has not contacted the practice within 24hrs to cancel the appointment
• Please note if your appointment falls on a Monday, our surgery is closed Saturday and Sunday, therefore,  if you wish to cancel a Monday appointment we will need to be notified by 4pm on the previous Friday
• To cancel an appointment this will need to be made by phone call to our reception team on 051-875323 as emails are not monitored on a daily basis.

Charge

Fee charge of €40 for a missed appointment
